KUALA LUMPUR: Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) has awarded three
licences to Yinson Holdings Bhd’s associate Yinson Energy Sdn Bhd which
will enable it to tender in future projects offered by other oil
companies.
It said on Thursday the first licence was for the floating offshore
facilities and the second was for the mobile offshore facilities.
The third was for the engineering, design, architecture and draughting services – naval architecture and marine engineering.
“The award of these licences qualify Yinson Energy to tender and
participate in upcoming works relating to the categories of the listed
licenses for Petronas and other oil companies and/or operators in
Malaysia,” it said.
Yinson expected the licences to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the future financial years.
