Job Description for Jack Up Rig Superintendent
Job Requirement :
- Minimum 10+ years operational experience with Jack-Up / land drilling operation with (3) years as a Rig Superintendent in a progressive role.
- Knowledge in oil and gas industry
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible to review the rig performance and develop plans to enhance rig specifications to deliver an excellent service to clients
- Liaise with the Operation Manager and other Department Heads to coordinate with their operations and services
- Ensure that all drilling operations are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation and develop constructive relationships with the relevant authorities
- Develop improvements to practices that will improve performance and enhance economics
- Specific Qualifications : H2S Certification and Safety Trainings
- Responsible for own safety and conducting ones self to the Standards of Policies and Procedures and demonstrate leadership in HSE
- Regularly attend rig safety meetings
- Develop and maintain emergency response plan and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections of rigs and follow-up on all remedial actions
- Coach all subordinates in performing their duties
- Manage their professional development, keeping the validity of all personal certification and training and maintaining technical proficiency
