Shell Jobs - QA/QC Engineer



I'm looking for QA/QC engineer to be seconded to Shell. The requirement as below.

The candidate shall hold a recognised Degree in engineering, and will have completed IRCA (or equivalent) quality auditor/lead auditor training.  The candidate shall have a minimum of 10 years working experience in QA role within onshore and offshore oil and gas projects including 5 years performing QA within an engineering design environment.
 
The candidate must be able to demonstrate that he has done one subsea development project involving the engineering, manufacturing, offshore transportation, installation and testing of hardware umbilicals and flowlines.
 
Primarily the duties of this QA Engineer will be to coordinate the Project’s inspection and test activities with secondary responsibilities to assist the SURF QA Lead in the day to day quality activities involve in the supply, installation and testing of subsea hardware, umbilicals, control systems and flowlines. It is therefore essential that the candidate has worked in a similar position in the past and can demonstrate his ability to coordinate a worldwide inspection services contractor for the supply of on/offshore inspection personnel.
 
His initial duties will involve setting up processes for the interface management and control of the inspection services contract. So the candidate must also have a working knowledge of inspection planning and requisitioning processes and the development of such systems. This will involve close communication between the Shell package leads and the inspection services contractor so communication skills are essential.
 
The candidate must have a good knowledge of the inspection requirements and inspection techniques during the manufacturing and installation of subsea equipment, as he will be one of the key personnel involved in the specifying, interviewing and selection of qualified and experienced inspection personnel.
 
In addition to the above and during the execution phase the candidate will be required to develop and implement a planning and progress reporting system to provide the project with an up to date status of inspection activities.
 
Good technical and quality information with regards to the status of material under inspection is essential and so it will be incumbent on the QA Engineer to ensure that inspection personnel are capable of preparing quality technical reports of their inspection visits. The candidate for this position should therefore have a good understanding of the functionality of the equipment and be technically competent in requesting and evaluating clear and concise technical information.
 
Technically the candidate will be experienced in the review of the following, or similar documents, for functionality, and acceptance to the project specifications, drawings and standards:
Engineering drawings – quality check;
Project Quality Management Systems to ISO9001 & 10006
Purchase requisitions for compliance to the project quality requirements;
Quality Plans;
Method Statements;
Inspection & Test Plans;
Inspection & Test Procedures;
Inspection & Test Reports;
Inspection & Test Records
Site visit reports;
