Position Description – Purpose
This position will fill the role of Senior QA Engineer (TIV) in P&T Upstream Major Projects and will have accountability for delivery of the project quality program and for assuring that the QA program is delivering the desired results with specific focus on Technical Integrity Verification.
The Senior QA Engineer is part of the East’s Quality, Integration and Project Support department.
The Senior QA Engineer is accountable for the development and delivery of various TIV quality deliverables to the project team and is also expected to support as required development of the project quality plan, DCAF / PCAP, flawless project delivery, technical integration verification, robust contract language, vendor assessments, oversight of QA programs, identification of quality resource needs and auditing / tracking to validate QA programs are working.
Position Description – Principal Accountabilities
Support other project teams (design, procurement, construction, quality, HSSE, OR&A, CSU) to ensure that required Technical Integrity activities and deliverables, as defined in the above work processes and project specific documents are completed at the various project phases, to enable sign-off by the Project Manager of the Statement of Fitness at OS-S.
Monitor and ensure verification activities are performed and documented during design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning, to verify suitability of the Safety Critical Elements to the requirements of the Design HSE Case.
Ensure an audit trail is in place that demonstrates findings from all assurance activities required to demonstrate Technical Integrity are properly closed-out:
o Standard Deviations Register
o Management of Change
o OR&A Flaws mitigation
o Project Reviews (Peer assists, model reviews, operability reviews, etc..)
o HAZOPs (and Hazard and Effect Management Processes in general)
o Project QA Audits –
Ensure project compliance to the Design Engineering Manuals DEM-1 and DEM-2 (Process Safety Basic Requirements).

Ensure that all Asset integrity tasks and deliverables required from the project (to deliver to design Integrity, to establish Technical Integrity and to enable Operating Integrity) are included in the Scope of Work of the various project sub-teams, and then these are delivered in a timely manner. These tasks end deliverables are defined in the following Standards:
o Asset Integrity-Process Safety Management Standard (AIP5M)
o Design Engineering Manuals (DEM-i. and DEM-2)
o Technical Integrity Framework (EP200609215830)
o Safety Critical Elements Management Manual (2009-9009)
Be the custodian of the project “Plan to Establish Technical Integrity”, owned by the Project Manager.
Interact with engineers during design, procurement and construction to facilitate the development and verification of performance criteria, and to identify potential Integrity gaps. Trigger resolution actions as and when required.
Develop metrics and reporting to ensure Technical Integrity is progressed and visible.
Assist In the management through close-out of gaps, to achieve a successful Ready for Start-Up audit.
Plan, and facilitate multi-discipline activities or workshops required for the understanding of Asset integrity deliverables.

Experience and Qualifications
Bachelors of Science in Engineering.
10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Experience with quality systems is preferred.
Experience in one of the engineering disciplines is preferred.
Prior large project experience is desired.
