PETRONAS wishes to alert members of the public that an e-mail scam under the heading of “PETRONAS Job Opportunity” is currently circulating in the Internet, where recipients of the e-mail are urged to contact a “PETRONAS manager” with their personal details to secure employment with the company.
The modus operandi of the party or parties behind the scam is to pose as PETRONAS’ recruitment department and charges job seekers certain amounts of money to secure job opportunities with PETRONAS.
PETRONAS wishes to stress that it has not authorised such e-mail-based recruitment and does not employ any third-party personnel or on-line employment agency for such purpose. PETRONAS appeals to the public not to respond to the e-mail or any such emails.
PETRONAS would like to inform that its official on-line talent sourcing or recruitment portal is www.discoverpetronas.com and those who wish to seek employment with PETRONAS are advised to visit only this portal.
Please also note that PETRONAS does not request any payment or charge any fee for processing job applications.
